The Texas Alternative Investments Association (TAIA) is a U.S.- based association of alternative investment industry participants and other interested parties. The TAIA membership is composed primarily of fund managers and investment advisers, high net worth investors, institutional investors (pension funds, foundations, banks), fund of funds and industry service providers such as administrators, auditors and accountants, attorneys, third party marketers and others.
This will depend on your motivation for joining and your participation within the alternative investments community. For investors, the TAIA will provide a valuable educational resource, of which they can take advantage. The TAIA will provide access to the most talented minds in the industry. For academic members, the TAIA will provide a forum for the interaction with and feedback from the practical side of the industry. Fund managers will gain access to other managers and a recommended directory of resources and services; have access to industry icons and mentors and network with industry colleagues. Besides these specific benefits to specific members, the TAIA will function as a community for the industry and all affiliated and interested parties, contributing to the industry’s growth and well-being.
The TAIA is a non-profit corporation for the members by the members and all dues will be used for the prudent benefit of the association, its membership and the industry. This will include expanding our content and programming, maintenance costs of the association website and costs associated with industry events.
We welcome guests to any of our events. Please note that there is a small fee levied for non-members to attend unless prior arrangements are made with the CEO or a board member.
Committees are appointed by the CEO from invitees and nominations received from the membership. Please indicate your interest in joining a committee or working group here.
Please contact info@texas-aia.com. You can also use the Contact Us page of the web site. Any one of the directors or officers will be able to discuss establishing an affiliation with your organization.
Although other fine trade associations exist, they only partly service the alternative investments industry. As the industry grows and matures, particularly in Texas, the need for a grass roots organization that meets the needs of its regional participants is required. The TAIA intends to address a broad range of industry and regional issues and provide a forum and resource for investor education, industry development and networking.
